Student Life is here to provide you with connections, resources, and support to help you flourish and succeed during your time here with us.

Have a question? An idea of something you'd like to start? Want to help out with something? Let us know! Email studentlife@denverseminary.edu.

I am passionate about how the educational experience is not only about equipping people for ministry but formational to shift, form, and deepen a person’s trajectory toward loving God and loving others. I love a good cup of coffee with friends or a fascinating book, taking my dog for walks, playing with my nephews, running, camping, watching great movies and finding a killer deal at a thrift store!

My role is to lead the Student Life team and come alongside students as they journey through all that life brings during their Denver Seminary journey. Our office can be the starting place if you experience anything that is impeding your ability to focus on school (eg. family challenges, mental and medical health concerns, relational conflicts, etc.). Our office is also the point of contact for disability services, student rights, and matters related to Title IX. Feel free to reach out if there is any way we can support you!

I’ve lived in Missouri, Michigan, California and now Colorado because I just really like putting all my stuff in and out of boxes…just kidding—moving is the WORST! I love road trips though, almost as much as hot yoga, guacamole, and ping pong. I’m an extrovert and profound people person so I’m pumped to have a job where I get to plan all the parties. I used to be a high school English teacher, so yes, I did get a tickle out of all the “p”s in that last sentence!

As the Student Life Coordinator, I am focused on making sure your seminary experience is peppered with opportunities to connect deeply with others. I also oversee the Community Advisors and aspire to be the resident expert on all the resources available for students. I am a Spiritual Director and love hearing people’s stories, so please, come introduce yourself and tell me yours!

Tessa Robertson

Interim Associate Director of Student Life and Programming

I am a second year Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Denver Seminary. As a student and work-study, I am invested in making sure the student voice is heard in the student life department, as well as in the flourishing of the seminary in our community. I have worked for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for five years, at Arizona State University and now here in the Denver Metro Area. I live out my calling to promote growth and vocational direction with young adults in that work as well as here at Denver Seminary. I am passionate about prayer and I believe God works in powerful ways, often beyond our expectations, here at the Seminary when we pursue the righteousness of His Kingdom in all things. Please feel free to reach out or find me on campus to share any ideas, concerns, and feedback for student life!

Some of my favorite things are finding new coffee spots, having great conversations, and exploring new parts of the city. My family hails from Arvada (1 guy, 3 girls, and a puppy) where I play on the worship team at church, help lead married couples ministry, and mentor college/young adults.

After working in Residence Life, elementary teaching, and camping ministry, it's been a treat to organize events behind the scenes and create advertisements here in the Student Life department. I also have a Masters in Counseling and am continuing to take courses to be licensed here in Colorado with the eventual goal of becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Looking forward to getting to know you!
