Attention Married, Engaged, and Seriously Dating Students!

Student Life would like to invite students and their significant others to attend this affordable, two-part marriage retreat. We are once again partnering with The Center for Relationship Enrichment, and this year’s theme is “Communication.” Through interactive discussions, informative speakers, and intentional time with your partner, you will garner helpful tools and frameworks to continue growing in relationship.

Part 1: Weekend Retreat

Join us for teaching sessions, partner discussions, and activities.

Friday, February 26 from 6:00pm-9:00pm (MST)

AND

Saturday, February 27 from 9:00am-3:00pm

Part 2: Date Night

All retreat participants will be reconvene for a follow-up time and continued processing.

Friday, April 2nd, Evening after Spring Break

This year we are trying something new and hosting this experience entirely on Zoom. This allows us to proceed safely and confidently no matter what! It also allows Global students to participate!

CONTENT

You'll hear from our speakers, be led in activities and discussions with your partner, and benefit from group discussion. You will also be able to sign up for an optional couple's Spiritual Direction or Counseling session during the day on Saturday. Retreat packages with materials and goodies will be available for pick up or shipped to you if needed.

*Childcare is not provided for either the retreat or date night, so we kindly invite parents to make appropriate arrangements for their children.*

Meet Our Speakers:

Steve Lee, Ed.D. & Twyla Lee, ACSW, LCSW

Twyla and Steve have enjoyed co-leading various marriage and family events for more than 22 years. As career educators, they know the world of students and have a passion for preparing engaged couples and strengthening married student relationships. Steve has served as a professor at the Focus Leadership Institute, Colorado Springs, CO and as a Professor of Psychology at Huntington University, IN. He taught in the Marriage & Family Therapy doctoral program at Denver Seminary. Twyla has also served as a professor at the Focus Leadership Institute and as the Director of Social Work Education at Huntington University, IN. The focus of her other professional activities has been families and children, women, and young adults.
