Are Your Computers and Devices at Risk?
We hear about viruses, ransomware, and other cyber-attacks frequently in the media. Are you doing everything you can to protect your devices? (smartphones, computers, security cameras, thermostats, refrigerators, etc.)
IT experts recommend two major steps you should take to protect them:
1. Be diligent to frequently update all of the devices in your home that connect to your Wi-Fi or internet with the latest updates, firmware, and security patches available from the manufacturer.
2. FREQUENTLY (every 90 days) change the default password(s) of all the devices in your home that connect to your Wi-Fi or internet to a new, unique, and complex password.
