“By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Come join us for a 3-day backcountry adventure hosted by Pilgrim Endurance in the serenity and calm of the Colorado Rockies! Find restoration for your soul as we come to the end of a difficult year and prepare our hearts for Christmas. Learn the basics of backcountry travel on snowshoes as we backpack 6 miles to the Fritz Benedict hut, a 10th Mountain Division Hut in the wilderness near Aspen, CO. Here we will spend three days snowshoeing, meeting with God both personally and communally through spiritual direction and prayer and preparing a space of stillness in our hearts through Christian yoga. Enjoy cozy evenings sitting by the fire and incredible food. Come prepared to enjoy friendship, adventure, and rest for your soul!
Advent is a season in the liturgical calendar intended as a preparation for God coming into the world at Christmas. It's a season of getting ready to welcome the Light of the World into our lives. We have experienced such darkness this year in so many ways. Let us join together to call on God for light, and hope, and a new season!
