Please consider taking an intensive Chinese Worldview Seminar

With China recently in the news (especially the U.S.- China relationship, tension over Taiwan, the role of China in the world), the need to understand China has never been greater. The Chinese Worldview Seminar offeres 20 sessions, presented by 12 scholars over three weekends in May and June, will give you a holistic grasp of China and her history, philosophy, religions, politics, people and modern development, as well as the role of the church. Please join us for three weekends in May and June with live-stream interaction and questions and answer sessions.

  • What is the moral foundation for the Chinese people?

  • What is the Chinese concept of God?

  • How is Chinese civilization different from the West?

  • Why did China accept Marxism?

  • Will China someday rule the world?

  • What is “good news” to the Chinese people?

Dates: (Fri-Sat) May 20-21, 27-28, June 3-4 Main facilitator: Dr. Kurt Selles Seminar Cost : $250 per person. Group rate negotiable Optional: participants can earn 2 Denver Seminary summer session credits by registering before May 1 and paying additional Denver tuition fee. For additional information, please contact Dr. Rick Hess at Rick.Hess@denverseminary.edu The main presenter is Dr. Kurt Selles. Dr. Selles received his Ph.D. in History of Christianity from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Kurt served as the director of the Global Center at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he also taught cross-cultural ministries. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, he directed the Calvin College Semester-in-China program and led many China field study trips. He served in Taiwan and China for 19 years total. He speaks fluent Mandarin. Currently, he directs Reframe Ministries in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
