CF 606 Scripture, Formation, and Soul Care

This course explores the role of Scripture as the primary text for spiritual formation and soul care. The formative power of psalm-praying, lectio divina, and imaginative meditation on Scripture will be studied and experienced. The Lukan parables as dynamic sources for understanding and offering soul care will be examined. Two Credit Hours. Taught by Prof. Howard Baker

CF 610 Readings in Evangelical Spirituality

This course engages the wisdom for formation and soul care as presented by leading spiritual authorities in the evangelical Christian tradition from the Reformation to the present. The focus will be on reading the original sources informed by their respective historical and biographical backgrounds. Two Credit Hours. Taught by Dr. Kathleen Mulhern
