We are looking for volunteer Bible study instructors for Prison Fellowship Academy*\ for this next year. Each new volunteer would team up with a seasoned volunteer one night a week. Volunteers would commit to one year.

Prison Fellowship Academy is an intensive, biblically based program that takes incarcerated women through a holistic life transformation process. The job of an instructor is to help women learn to lead lives of purpose and productivity inside and outside of prison. Through structured classes, therapeutic intervention and group process, we help the women identify life-controlling issues that led to their incarceration and take responsibility for its impact on their families and community. We use biblically based materials to target criminal thinking and behavior, life skills, addictions, victim impact and prosocial cultural change. Bible study is the backbone of the program enabling women to come to know the Lord and to rely on the Holy Spirit to empower them to change from the inside out.

There is a process of approval by the Department of Corrections (DOC) in order to be allowed entry into the prison. What we are looking for are mature Believers with a heart for women on the margins. All Faculty, staff or students are welcome who feel drawn to this most interesting teaching experience
