(Fall & Spring Only)
The Writing Center provides every student with up to four free hours of one-on-one tutoring each semester to help master's students in the following areas: improving writing skills, brainstorming topics, organizing ideas, integrating research, using appropriate grammar and punctuation, and learning how to format papers in Turabian and APA styles.
Reserve a session. Sign up by clicking on the "Sign Up Now!" button during fall and spring semesters. Local students are also welcome to drop in during regular tutoring hours if the tutor is not with another student. Note: Until normal operations resume at the Littleton campus, all tutoring will be conducted over Zoom video conferencing. Our tutor will email you a link for your session after you have signed up.
Online tutoring is available. Online tutoring via Zoom video conferencing is available for our online-only students and students attending our Texas/DC campuses. Littleton campus students may also request a Zoom session if unable to come to campus during tutoring hours. Indicate your campus (Littleton, DC, Texas) or status (online-only) on the drop-down menu when you sign up. If a student requests a Zoom session, he or she will receive an email from the tutor with instructions on how to log into the Zoom tutoring session. Students will be prompted to create a free Zoom account at their first sign-in. The Zoom link will also be posted on the sign-up sheet prior to an appointment.
Inclement weather. If the tutor cannot travel to campus and/or the library is closed due to inclement weather, tutoring over Zoom will be an option to all students and the tutor will contact those scheduled for sessions. Email us at email@example.com with any questions.
Tutoring Hours: Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am-1pm. Additional times via Zoom may be scheduled upon request.
Please note that all times are in Mountain Standard Time. If you are located in another time zone and wish to schedule a Zoom session, please adjust the times accordingly.
Location: Library Conference Room 113
What to bring: Please bring any materials that you have for your paper such as a syllabus, an assignment sheet, draft, etc.
Please note: Free tutoring is not available to DMin students or MA students working on theses. Please contact Writing Center Coordinator Jana Matthews at firstname.lastname@example.org for tutoring referrals.
