(Fall & Spring Only)
The Writing Center provides every student with up to four hours of free one-on-one tutoring during fall and spring semesters to help in the following areas: improving writing skills, brainstorming topics, organizing ideas, integrating research, using appropriate grammar and punctuation, and learning how to format papers in Turabian and APA styles. For students at our DC campus, please contact Brenda Whitelaw (Brenda.Whitelaw@denverseminary.edu) to arrange for tutoring.
Reserve a session. Sign up by clicking on the "Sign Up Now!" button during fall and spring semesters. Local students are also welcome to drop in during regular tutoring hours if the tutor is not with another student.
Online tutoring is available. Online tutoring via Zoom video conferencing is available for our online-only students and for local students who are unable to come to campus during tutoring hours. Students should indicate whether they want to meet in person or over Zoom on the drop-down menu when signing up. If a student requests a Zoom session, he or she will receive an email from the tutor with the Zoom link. The Zoom link will also be posted on the sign-up sheet prior to a scheduled appointment.
Inclement weather. If the tutor cannot travel to campus and/or the library is closed due to inclement weather, tutoring over Zoom will be an option to all students and the tutor will contact those scheduled for sessions. Email us at email@example.com with any questions.
Tutoring Hours: Tutoring will resume in the Fall
